DOG TALES
Meet Lou
The first time that I met Lou she would not even get out of the car by herself. The owner had to carry her into our house. I worked with Lou one week on, and one week off, for about 4 weeks. Lou’s primary goals were to learn basic obedience, overcome her anxiety, socialize with other dogs, and loose leash walking. Lou was successful in learning her basic tasks and she was able to overcome her anxiety, but her owners decided they wanted to add e-collar training. Lou came back for 2 weeks for a board and train, which afforded her successful e-collar training without anxiety, the ability to walk without her leash, and maintain socialization in a positive manner. Lou made great strides in a relatively short amount of time. Lou, you are an impressive pup!
Meet Amira
Although Amira lives in a different state, she needed some basic obedience instruction. The owners decided to train with me virtually. They followed through really well with her training. Amira successfully passed the Emotional Support criteria to become an Emotional Support Animal (ESAN). Amira helps her human manage stress and anxiety. Good job Amira!
Meet Ollie
Ollie’s goal was to learn how to walk appropriately on a leash and become successful with recall. As a pup, it is difficult to leave random items alone on walks. Ollie’s ability to move past a tennis ball on our walks was a huge challenge. However, he mastered that ability and is able to come with recall. Ollie’s owner continues to work with him so that he maintains success with his basic cues. I still see Ollie when visiting his humans. Great work Ollie!
